2. Description of Service

2.1 What EasyClass AI Provides

EasyClass AI is an educational technology platform that helps teachers:

• Generate educational content using AI (lesson plans, quizzes, worksheets, etc.)
• Create and share assessments with students (quizzes, assignments, spiral reviews)
• Grade student work using AI-assisted grading
• Manage classroom activities (display boards, seating charts, timers)
• Integrate with Google Classroom
• Track student responses and performance

2.2 AI-Powered Features

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with content creation and grading. AI-generated content should be reviewed by educators before use in the classroom.

2.3 Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use most features, you must create an account with:

• A valid email address
• A secure password
• Accurate profile information

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities under your account
• Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

3.3 One Account Per Person

Each account is for a single user. Sharing accounts is prohibited.

3.4 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as needed.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free and Paid Plans

EasyClass AI offers:

• Free Plan: Limited access to features and AI generations
• Pro Plan: Full access to all features, unlimited AI generations
• Additional plans as described on our pricing page

4.2 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• Prices are in US dollars unless otherwise noted
• Taxes may apply based on your location

4.3 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You authorize us to charge your payment method for renewal.

4.4 Price Changes

We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at your next renewal.

4.5 Failed Payments

If payment fails, we may:

• Retry the charge
• Suspend access to paid features
• Downgrade your account to the free plan

5. Refunds and Cancellations

6. Free Trials and Credits

We may offer free trial periods. At the end of a trial, you may be automatically enrolled in a paid subscription if you provided payment information, or your account will revert to the free plan.

6.2 AI Credits

Some plans include a limited number of AI generations ("credits"). Unused credits may expire at the end of your billing period and do not roll over.

6.3 Promotional Offers

Promotional pricing or credits are subject to specific terms provided with the offer. Promotions cannot be combined unless stated.

6.4 Referral Program

Our referral program terms are available at https://easyclass.ai/referrals. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the referral program.

7. Acceptable Use

7.1 Permitted Uses

You may use EasyClass AI to:

• Create educational content for your students
• Generate and share assessments
• Grade student work
• Manage classroom activities
• Integrate with approved third-party services (e.g., Google Classroom)

7.2 Educational Purpose

The Service is designed for educational purposes. You agree to use it in a manner consistent with its intended educational use.

7.3 Compliance with Laws

You agree to comply with all applicable laws, including:

• FERPA (student privacy)
• COPPA (children's privacy)
• Your school or district's policies
• Local, state, and federal regulations

9. User Content

• Notes and documents

9.2 Ownership

You retain ownership of the original content you create. By using the Service, you grant EasyClass AI a limited license to:

• Store and display your content to you
• Process your content through AI services
• Back up your content for data integrity
• Share your content as directed by you (e.g., student-facing quizzes)

9.3 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content, including:

• Ensuring it does not violate any laws or third-party rights
• Reviewing AI-generated content before using it with students
• Maintaining appropriate backups of important content

9.4 Content Removal

We may remove content that violates these Terms. We will attempt to notify you unless prohibited by law or if the content poses immediate harm.

10. AI-Generated Content

10.1 Nature of AI Content

AI-generated content is created by artificial intelligence based on your prompts and inputs. AI may:

• Produce inaccurate or incomplete information
• Generate content that requires editing or review
• Occasionally produce unexpected or inappropriate results

10.2 Your Responsibility

You agree to:

• Review all AI-generated content before using it with students
• Edit and fact-check AI content as needed
• Take responsibility for content you distribute to students
• Not rely solely on AI for critical educational decisions

10.3 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is:

• 100% accurate or factually correct
• Free from bias
• Appropriate for all audiences or contexts
• Compliant with specific curriculum standards

10.4 AI Content Rights

You own the rights to AI-generated content you create using the Service, subject to:

• Your compliance with these Terms
• Any third-party rights that may apply to source materials
• The terms of underlying AI model providers

11. Student Data and Privacy

11.1 Teacher Responsibilities

When using EasyClass AI to collect student data, you represent that:

• You have authority to collect student information for educational purposes
• You comply with your school's data privacy policies
• You have obtained necessary consents as required by law (FERPA, COPPA, state laws)
• You will use student data only for educational purposes

11.2 Our Commitments

We commit to:

• Collecting only necessary student information
• Never selling student data
• Never using student data for advertising
• Deleting student data upon teacher request
• Anonymizing student information before AI processing
• Not tracking students with analytics

11.3 Student Data Handling

You can delete student data at any time:

• Individual responses: Delete within the quiz/assignment interface
• All student data: Settings → Privacy Controls → Delete Student Data
• Account deletion: Deletes all data including student responses

11.5 FERPA and COPPA

EasyClass AI operates as a "school official" under FERPA and complies with COPPA through the school consent model. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

12. Intellectual Property

12.1 EasyClass AI Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by EasyClass AI and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our software
• Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
• Use our trademarks without permission
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices

12.2 Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Service, you grant us the right to use this feedback without compensation or attribution.

Your use of third-party integrations is subject to those services' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

When using Google Classroom integration:

• You authorize us to access your Google Classroom data as needed
• Google's terms and privacy policy apply to data processed by Google
• You can disconnect Google integration at any time in Settings

EasyClass AI is a tool to assist educators. It does not replace professional educational judgment. You are responsible for:

• Verifying the appropriateness of all content
• Making final educational decisions
• Ensuring compliance with curriculum standards

14.3 AI Limitations

AI-generated content may contain errors. We do not warrant that AI features will meet your specific requirements or produce accurate results in all cases.

14.4 Service Interruptions

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We are not liable for any interruption, delay, or error.

15. Limitation of Liability

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

15.3 Exceptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

• Your User Content
• Your collection or use of student data

17. Termination

17.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Using the "Delete Account" feature in Settings
• Emailing support@easyclass.ai

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Fail to pay for your subscription
• Abuse the Service or other users

17.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ends immediately
• We may delete your data after 30 days (unless legally required to retain)
• Provisions that should survive termination (e.g., limitation of liability) remain in effect

Before terminating, you may export your data using Settings → Privacy Controls → Export My Data.

18. Dispute Resolution

18.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a formal complaint, please contact support@easyclass.ai. We will attempt to resolve disputes informally within 30 days.

18.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

18.3 Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions.

18.4 Exceptions

Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access to the Service.

18.5 Time Limit

Any claim arising from these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after the cause of action arises.

19. General Provisions

19.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EasyClass AI regarding the Service.

19.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive that right or provision.

You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to an affiliate or successor.

19.5 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create rights for any third party.

We may send notices to the email address associated with your account. You may send notices to support@easyclass.ai.

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

20. Changes to Terms

20.1 Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by:

• Posting updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending email notification for significant changes

20.2 Continued Use

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
